First Australian Project Kicks Off in Queensland with Liebherr Container Cranes

 

Heavy lift projects in AustraliaWm. O’Brien is delighted to announce that it is starting its first ever heavy lift project in Australia.  The company is working with Liebherr Container Cranes on the construction of a Ship to Shore crane at the Port of Townsville in North-eastern Queensland which will take approximately 10 weeks to complete and will have 22 people working on site.

Once work is complete at the Port of Townsville, Wm. O’Brien will move to Brisbane for another Liebherr Container Crane STS project.

 

Throughout 2020 and the global Covid pandemic, the Wm. O’Brien team has also travelled to work on heavy lift projects for its clients in North America, Ireland, Spain, Egypt and Morocco, across wind energy, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, heavy industry and infrastructure projects.
