Wm. O’Brien has secured a new 2-year contract with Irish Cement, supplying cranes, operators and banksmen to support maintenance work at their cement factories in Platin, Co Meath and Mungret, Co Limerick. This agreement comes on the back of a previous 2-year contract which had just come to an end. The mobile cranes range from 60 tonne to 500 tonne, and together with the Wm. O’Brien team carry out heavy lift services for various jobs from repairing or replacing conveyor belts and steel drums to sheeting on high silos.
During annual maintenance shutdowns heavy lift services are provided on a 24 /7 basis, as required, to ensure timelines are met and downtime is minimised.

Wm. O’Brien is the only Irish heavy lift company accredited to ISO 45001. The company operates to an Integrated Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Management system including the most up to date versions of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
